Dubai Culture and Arts Authority is internet hosting the thirteenth Sikka Art & Design Festival in Al Shindagha Historic Neighbourhood, that includes over 250 Emirati and regional artists. Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the pageant transforms 19 homes into artistic showcases, supporting native expertise and enriching Dubai’s artwork scene.
Festival Highlights:
- Design House: Showcasing six initiatives exploring regional structure and cultural id.
- Urban House (House 196): A mixture of thought-provoking artworks and sensory experiences.
- House on Memory Lane (House 200): Artworks exploring nostalgia, heritage, and private reminiscences.
- House 202 – Archiving the Now: Blending know-how with storytelling to protect cultural heritage.
- House 206 – The House within the Back of Your Mind: Art exploring id, reminiscence, and human connection.
- Realiity House (House 341): A totally immersive house utilizing artwork and know-how to look at id and time.
- TODA House (House 349): Digital artwork questioning individuality and know-how’s influence.
- Khaleeji House (House 353): Works reflecting desires, transformation, and cultural evolution.
- House 436 – The House on a Two-Way Street: Exploring nostalgia, sustainability, and concrete change.
- Studio Thirteen (House 357): Community-focused artworks mixing images, sound, and graffiti.
- House 348 by KHDA & 7X: Celebrating Emirati id and cultural development.
The pageant, working till February 9, 2025, is a part of Dubai’s Quality of Life Strategy, with help from Dubai RTA, Dubai Municipality, and different key companions.
